Nicholas Lemann is director of Columbia Global Reports, a nonprofit publishing imprint from Columbia University that commissions authors to produce works of original thinking and on-site reporting from all over the world, on a wide range of topics.
He’s Dean Emeritus of Columbia Journalism School, where he continues to teach. He’s a member of the New York Institute for the Humanities and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a staff writer for The New Yorker. His most recent book is Transaction Man.
